Opened since November 2003, The Hatters is the citys only independently owned tourist hostel catering for the independent backpacker as well as for groups and followers of football or fashion. Built in 1907 for a local hat manufacturing company, The Hatters has been tastefully converted to retain the original Victorian features in a modern setting. Our location in the Northern Quarter is perfect for the traveller to Manchester. We are on the doorstep of the northern quarter which is filled to the brim with dozens of independently owned record shops, unique urban designer clothes shops and the hippest bars and restaurants in town. Experience the vibe that is Manchester by hanging out in our lounge or in any of the neighbourhood haunts which are legend in this part of the world. The Imperial War Museum North, the Lowry, and Urbis (museum of the modern city) to name but a few are must-see museums which are all but a tram ride away. Trams run from Piccadilly Gardens around the corner from us and will also take you to Old Trafford or further if you wish. The main shopping districts are all within walking distance from us and they now include the brand new Harvey Nicholls. We provide a fully serviced self catering kitchen, laundry facilities and a lounge area with a cafe and games available along with internet access. Secure luggage holding area as well as a safe for valuables are available to our customers. In order to stay in The Hatters hostel valid photo ID is required (passport, Drivers licence or student card).

Payment
You will need a credit card in order to do the reservation, so Studios92.com can charge the non refundable 10% deposit. You can pay the rest of the price at your arrival by credit card, cash or travellers cheques.

Reception of the The Hatters
You can check in from 2pm and you have to check out before 11am the day of your departure.
The breakfast service starts at 7:30
